WEEK 4

  Exciting News....... This week, after 2 weeks of waiting, two of our cocoons hatched.  We did not get to see them hatching but yesterday we were invited into Room 6 to see one of their's hatch.  Nature is pretty cool. We have painted a butterfly this week and we also wrote about what we saw with our first butterfly. You are more than welcome to come and read our wonderful writing.

 Our buddy class is Room 2 and we read with them every Friday.  We like sharing our books with others.  We hope that you enjoy reading with us at home too.

PHYS ED WITH ALEX

  Every second Friday we have Phys Ed with Alex and Room 6.  Here are some photos of our first session with Alex in Week 2.

Class Visitors

 Currently we have 3 caterpillars visiting our class from Mrs Oakley's house.  Mr Oakley grew the swan plants from seeds.  The caterpillars have gotten very big in the 4 days that we have had them.  We check them everyday to see how big they are getting

 Welcome to Room 5 2021. Room 5 has 16 children,  6 girls and 10 boys.  We welcome Ifereimi to Netherby School and into our class.  Mrs Mackenzie is our teacher. Important information to know: Library - our library day is Friday. Reading - we will have reading every night so it is very important that we have our reading folders at school every day.  Please sign their reading log each night. Kapahaka - Mrs Mackenzie helps teach Kapahaka every Tuesday afternoon during our discovery time.  Your child can opt into Kapahaka Pasifika - is held every Friday afternoon at 2.30.  Your child can opt into this if they wish. Kai for kids - We can have kai if we want but please return the form if you do not wish for your child to get Kai for Kids. Independence - In my class I like the children to do as much for themselves as they can.  It would be fantastic if you could please encourage your child to pack their own bag either the night before or before school each day.  They need to pack morni
